Cingular T616

I have a Cingular branded T616 with firmware R1A that I want to upgrade/unlock. As of the last time I checked, R1B is the latest.

But I see no AVR files for the T616 here, just the R1L firmware for the T610.

1) Will the R1L firmware work on the T616?
2) If not, do you have the T616 firmware?

1) Not sure, I would imagine they would not be compatible though! :(

2) I'll check tomorrow and see if I can get the files, files for US specific phones can be a pain to get hold of though.

I just went to my local GSM dealer and he updated my firmware to R1S001

Apparently this firmware was for the T610 on T-Mobile. I had the Vodafone customizations and I wanted the factory menus.

The dealer told me that he has T-Mobile's firmware with all the customizations removed. So, I am sure that you can get the R1L013 firmware to work on Cingular's T616

Personally I think the R1S001 is identical to R1L013. Here is the SW Information from my phone

My only complaint is that I was stuck with US English and Spanish was the only other language in the menu.

I can confirm you that the Camera Software in release R1L013 is the same as in yours.
