Firmware Update at Home

Is there any way the t610 firmware (both AVR and ARM files) can up updated at home with just a cable and without buying credits from the sonyericssonserver site?

You can modify your own cable to let you flash the ARM of your phone. If you don't want to use credit's you would need to buy DIV or SE Fighter hardware.

It's not the cheapest in the world! I bought DIV 8.2 this week so I can do complete firmware upgrades and de-customising without having to use logs all the time. Cost me about 250 pounds (UK sterling) with shipping and taxes.

Is it only good for Sony Ericsson phones or can it be used on other manufacturer's product?

I have R520m but it firmware till R2, can anyone tell me how to upgrade my mobile to R4 without go to Sonyericsson Service Point ( R 520 not sale in my country) :roll: ??
