T28 cable turn my phone on

I bought a T28 cable, but when I plug it to the phone the phone starts to charging battery. And when I turn off the phone, the phone turns on again, I can't keep my phone off.

So how can I unlock/flash my phone, since for unlocking and flashing I need to keep my phone off?

Please Help!!!!

Sounds like you may have the wrong cable or it's faulty. have you tried it on another PC to be sure it's not a issue with your computer.

I'm sure I've the right cable, it's the ERI T28 serial cable with F-BUS and M-BUS.

Now I changed to COM1 and now I can shut off the phone, but when unlocking software ask to press the on button, I press it quickly and once but the phone turns on immediately and software says that my phone is a T66 or T600 and gives me a time out error.

I've a T610

I solved the problem.

With my cable I've to:
- turn the phone off;
- open the unlocking software and press "Read Unlock Codes", the program says to press ON in the phone (I don't press);
- now plug the cable (the program finds the phone, and I didn't need to press ON in the phone).
