CAN I .... ? without any trouble

Can i Flash the ( GDFS ) without the need of flashing the AVR because i have the latest one in my phone which is

R1A081 EU7 ( VODAFONE LIVE )

o can't change the firmware because i need the Arabic Language. and the other firmwares doens't include Arabic Language Pack for my phone version which is R1A081

and all what i want to remove is the vodafone icons and other rubish from my phone and make it 100% SIM FREE phone without loosing the Arabic Language Pack.

plus unlocking it, which i will be doing today, but i'm not sure about the GDFS i mean removing the icons and themes ??

Can you advice me please ..

Hi,

You will need to flash the AVR as well as well as the GDFS because the majority of the personalising is done in the AVR file (the voda icons, preset keys etc) the GDFS file we have will just remove the last traces such as WAP and browser locks.

EU7 is one of the langauge packs that Vodafone had specially made for them with their nasty icons and stuff, you can change this for Arabic by flashing in the neccesary AVR from the downloads section

Unlocking it won't do anything else but remove the SP locks.

there isn't any arabic language pack in the download section it's only the

EU7

Remembering that my Handset Firmware version is R1A081

and the other Arabic AVR's in the Download Section are for different Versions of Firmware's

can i use them or i'm only allowed to use the ( R1A081 ) version

if so, is there any arabic one that u know which will be compatible with my PHONE ???

Finaly how many credits do u think i'll neet to do both flash the AVR as well as well as the GDFS + Unlocking my handset

Oops! My mistake, I don't seem to have uploaded all the files for that version. I'll upload the rest of them when I get home from work tonight.

If you want to flash a GDFS as well as the firmware and an unlock then you will need three credits. Remember that you might not have to flash the GDFS as not all phones have settings stored in GDFS area.
