Do I need anything else other than an unlocking cable?

I'm about to buy an unlocking cable (T610/T28) (where is the best place in the UK?) so that I can upgrade my firmware on my T610 instead of having to queue/wait for SE. Do I need anything else (apart from the firmware downloaded from this site) ?

Are there any FAQ's or anything on flashing?

I am afraid that you did not understand what the cable allows you to do... you can not upgrade the firmware.

All you can do is remove the operator's customization or change the available languages. To updgrade, you need an additional dongle.

Thanks for the reply, luckily I hesitated and did not buy the cable. Maybe I'll wait for the next firmware release and go to a SE service center for the upgrade. Must be cheaper/easier.
